Signed - Sealed and almost Delivered

Yea,
We went to the city yesterday. My dearest husband went earlier at 6 am on the LIRR to get to the State department by 9 am and then he found his way to the Chinese consulate. We all took a later train and met him at Penn at 11:30. We had lunch and we did a little sight seeing together until he had to venture back to the consulate to pick up the documents at 2:00. We all met up again at Rockefeller Center to spend the rest of the day enjoying the city.

The pictures are of John walking up to us with the newly certified documents and then of all of us together.

Now off to the post office to send the completed Dossier to our agency. They expect to send it to China by the second week in January... I will keep you all posted as to our Log in Date (LID).

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL

IT'S HERE, IT'S HERE

WE ARE FINALLY APPROVED TO ADOPT... OUR 171H HAS ARRIVED.. OFF TO THE CITY AT SOME POINT THIS WEEK AND THEN TO CHINA ..... YEA YEA YEA

Christmas Past

Another Christmas past. It was the usually blur of shopping, wrapping, eating, and opening gifts. We had a great Christmas this year. The boys loved everything that Santa brought to them. We cant even hope to have our daughter home by next Christmas. We are still awaiting the 171H. Immigration told us last week that they were just processing the first week of November fingerprints. ..... We are like the third, so maybe we will get it next week... and then be off to China...

It is heartwarming to know that so many of our Friends and family are thinking of us and asking about the new CHINA CHANGES for adoption. Our agency has told us that we will not be affected by any of those changes... they do take effect in May, but even if we were logging in after May we would still qualify with the rule changes.

This and that

Today Coleton's class had a gingerbread making party. We had a great time, and the kids had fun making the houses. Then we had Kyle's Orchestra Christmas concert.
We enjoyed it!! What talented kids and teachers we have in this community.

Future Giant

Coleton received his first football trophy today. He was very excited. The coaches had a pizza party for the kids prior to handing out the trophies.

Santa visits the neighborhood

All the little elves were busy decorating the tree, eating goodies, and visiting with Santa. Thanks Jo and Steve for hosting family and friends to visit with Santa at your house. Everyone, big and small had a great time.

STILL WAITING

It will be 2 weeks tomorrow that we went for our fingerprints. HURRY UP HOMELAND SECURITY or whatever it is that immigration calls itself. We need that piece of paper called the 171H that allows us to adopt internationally. Then we can complete this whole paper chase phase and get logged into China called a LID. Hopefully we will get it this week. Then we can run around and get everything notarized, certified and authenticated and get our paperwork back to our agency by Christmas..... We will keep you posted...

Happy Holiday!!!

Always this time of year you start to reflect on all the things that one is thankful for. Of course there is always the thanks that you have a great family, and everyone is healthy going into the new year. But then there are other things that you start to reflect on that bring happiness and peace to your life as well......For us this year it is the thankfullness of living in such a great community.. We have made so many great friends here. We treasure every moment we spend with anyone of them. Last nite was our annual community Holiday party. We rented a limo with some of our friends.... that is the picture that you see of us in the car.....

We had a great time... as usual. T, J and K arrange the whole thing each year, and each year the party is great.. No my teeth are not still numb :)

Our kids are very lucky to get to grow up in this neighborhood!!!

WHAT IS GOING ON?????

Each month as referrals come in I feel the anticipation of those getting their referrals. I also know that my friend Michelle is waiting patiently for her daughter's referral due to come in the next few batches or so , soooo it makes the referrals that are coming in all that much more exciting. Yet I am totally confused regarding this month's referrals. The referrals don't seem to match the LIDs(Log in Date) order. It is still totally amazing to me that this whole process is going to be soooooo long, and we aren't even finished with the paperchase. I will take Jo's take on things and stay positive that there will be a speed up of referrals. (CHECK OUT THE LINK I HAVE TO RUMOR QUEEN TO SEE WHAT I MEAN)

Worst case senario for us would be traveling during the summer 08 Olympics. That would be ineresting, and we may even get to see some of the events........POSITIVE THINKING.

Promise......I will post some pictures soon. Check out My Dear Friends link for some good picts from J's cookie exhchange party. It was a lot of fun, and not very good for my forever diet.....Thanks JO:).
