HAPPY SPRING

YEA SPRING IS HERE...This is my second favorite time of year. It means that the I can start my gardening soon.I can't wait.I hope all the snow is gone by next weekend....
Nothing new to report on the adoption front. Just a recap.... THE CURRENT WAIT TIME TO GET OUR BABY IS ABOUT 15 MONTHS. That means that since we Logged In to CHina with our paperwork on February 9th, we still have about 14 months to go... THe wait could get longer or shorter. SOOOO hopefully it doesnt go much longer. We want to bring the boys, and if goes into the fall of 08 Kyle will be off to college and then we Probably wont be able to take him....
Speaking of Kyle... Stay tuned for some great PROM pictures. He is going to his junior prom on Friday. I dont understand how that can occur because I just went to my Junior prom 2 years ago :).

THIS IS GOOD NEWS
New CCAA Rules Won't Impact Number of Adoptions
Stricter adoption rules sought in China
BEIJING --Stricter guidelines for adopting Chinese orphans will provide greater protection for children without affecting their opportunities for adoption, a government official said Tuesday.
New rules that will take effect May 1 bar adoption by foreigners who are unmarried, over 50, or obese -- prompting speculation China was seeking to cut down on foreign adoptions.
However, Vice Minister of Civil Affairs Li Liguo said the rules were aimed at standardizing protection for orphans and were not expected to impact the number of adoptions.
China's 573,000 orphans "enjoy the protection of the government," Li said following a news conference coinciding with the annual meeting of China's national legislature.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND BLUE AND GOLD
Ok ok so some of you (I won't mention names Trish) seem to think that my blog isn't updated often enough. Well all I can say is I will try.. sometimes I have nothing to say sometimes I have a lot to say but no time. Right now I should be starting dinner.. but I will blog....
Last weekend turned out to be a hectic one. My little guy just turned 7. I can't believe he is so big already. He had a sports party, and it was a lot of fun for him. Then in the evening his grandparents and Aunt and Uncle came over for more birthday celebrations. Then on Sunday, we went to a Boy Scout BLue and Gold dinner.
My older son is almost an Eagle scout, and my little guy is a Tiger just starting out. The BLue and GOld is hosted in honor of those boys that are moving up from Cubscouts to Boyscouts. They move up based on their age. We had two dens move up from our Pack. Kyle actually gave a speech about Point of Light ( a boy scout term) and helped (symbolically) the boys crossover to the Boyscouts.
