YES,,,, I am on summer vacation with my children. My poor DH has to work still. This has been a nice first week. My little guy is doing full day baseball camp this week. He loves baseball so he is in his glory. My big guy has just been hanging about. SO what did I get to do? Work out, shop, shop, garden, shop, get together with friends that I love...... all the things I love to do...except I don't really like to workout.
Next week Kyle starts work in am and Cole is home with me....Plus it is the fourth of July mid week .
So how is the adoption thing going you ask?
Well it still is a very long wait....predictions of up to 3 to 4 years... so maybe we have other options. We are currently exploring them, and I will post once we know if we are definately going to explore them.
In the mean time, life is good and I am enjoying my days.
My crazy musings of life, and the pursuit of happiness......

What to do????????????
Ok so I haven't really ranted on this blog yet so here it goes... THREEEEEEE years,,,It is so hard to believe that this could be our reality. We finally decide to take the plunge after the 5th miscarriage and five years of lossssss. Yes I know we have two healthy boys but just because we want another child doesnt mean we love them any less. Would you say that to the parent that is pregnant with their third, fourth, fifth child???
So back to the adoption thing..3 years. The Chinese government is only up to those with paperwork dated November 6 2005. YES THEY ARE ONLY UP TO 2005.This means that as of now they are 17 months behind. And our paperwork is February 2007. I read a lot and what I read is very contradictory. Are there very few children being abandoned? If that is the case then I am happy that the little children of China are not growing up in
OK SO what are our options???? Not much... most other countries that we would consider wouldn't consider us because we are tooo old... Imagine, third world countries where their citizens come here illegally and live in poverty in which we can not imagine deem us too old and all that at only 43.
I told you I wanted to rant..If you are tired of it already then you may leave and go to another blog.
Other options??? Special needs,,, fat chance of getting a child with minimal problems that we think would be suitable for us to handle.. there is a backlog of almost 2 years and that equates to lots of people trying to apply for the same child should one come up. But we will keep lurking and watching.
So that leaves basically Russia for us and domestic adoption.. Russia is pretty much out of the question due to the time and number of times you have to go there... we can't leave the kids for that long or our jobs.
Domestic Adoption: We may just double apply and see what happens; although this is like selling yourself which we didn't want to do and then have the possibility of another loss..birth parent changing mind etc....\
How long do we stay in the line for our China adoption? I do not want to wish the next three years away because that means I am 3 years older, and one will be 10 and one will be 20. Although these days the one being 20 may not be a bad thing ( for those of you with teenagers you know what I mean)....
My agency is having a phone in meeting tomorrow evening for the first time. I don't think they have any thing earth shattering to say. I will let you know. If you want to leave a comment after reading this and let me know what you would do please feel free to do so.
