WOW

My friend Jo and her husband are in China right now awaiting the arrival of their beautiful daughter Mia. As with my friend Michelle and her husband who went to China last May to pick up Meaghan, I am extremely excited and emotional for them. I can not wait to see Mia's picture...Jo is going to post asap. She will be meeting Mia on Monday (our time is 2:00 am). I hope all goes well for them... This weekend is all about my little China darlings. Tomorrow I get to OD on Meaghan Grace whom I adore... it is her Christening and her parents are having a huge Christening party.

So if you like follow along with Jo in China at her blog just click on MIA on the right side of this and it will take you there.

The fairies

We wondered into the Disney Store tonight and I just couldn't resist. Of course the purchase was for our future daughter... or was it???? I would have bought all of the fairies but my dearest husband already thinks I am crazy...

Of course my little guy had to have the latest in Captain Jack figurines.

Every time we get one of those "crazy" calls on our 800 number It reminds me how impossible this feels.

Awaiting an Angel..............

I stepped into your room today
Knowing you're not there
This waiting for referral
Is more than one can bear

But taking in the moment
I sit down on the floor
And dream of you here with me
When waiting is no more.

A little giggle fills the air
As I rub your feet
I place my hand upon your heart
To feel its every beat.

A song is sung so very soft
Your eyes begin to close
Your meeting me in dream land
A place where love still grows.

My vision now is very blurred
The tears stream down my cheeks
I've dreamed of you quite often
Throughout these past few weeks.

Suddenly a sound is heard
The phone rings in the hall
Waking up I quickly pray
Please let it be "The Call"

Aruba Aniversary Vacation

We haven't had a couple only vacation in 17 years. We always bring the kids on vacation with us. SO this year we decided to treat ourselves to an aniversary vacation alone. We had a great time on the happy Island of Aruba. The weather is always beautiful and the last time we were there was the year before Kyle was born. We will be celebrating 25 years of marriage on August 22. I know I must of been like 10 when we got married.... Seriously, it has been a wild ride and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Here is to the next 25 years.

WATCH OUT WORLD

Ok, so today is one of those days that sticks with you forever... My son took his road test (Number 2) and he PASSED!!!

MyGlitterRomance.com - Glitter Graphics, Glitter Love, MySpace Graphics, MySpace Codes, MySpace layouts, Doll Codes, Glitter Words

As we lined up at the test site waiting for the appointment, I thought I was going to throw up. As if I were taking the test today. On the one hand I wanted him to fail again, but on the other I remember how pivotal a moment it is when you get that license and you drive by yourself for the very first time. He is a relatively good driver, and he is only 16 still. He has a little over a month until he turns 17 and all restrictions come off.

I remember when we all started to get our licences. I was young so I was among the last to get mine. My friend Donna would take her parents car and we would go driving around with nowhere to go... but then we had to scrounge up $2.00 to put the tank exactly where it was so that they wouldnt know how much we drove around...

Or when we all used to pile into a little green chevette (I think that's what it was) that one of our friends had. We would fit like 10 people in that car. And it was a stick shift..

Oh yes, I remember the joy of just getting a license and now I am experiencing the trauma that my parents went through. I only hope that my son will be smarter than I was and stay safe. Now it is another step away from being able to protect your kids.
They go from being your little baby and to you being able to control everything that happens to them (almost), to this where they become independent and you feel like you no longer can protect them from everything.

Well enough musing from this mom.... I am very proud of him and hope that he stay safe every time he gets behind that wheel.
