My girl

Paige keeps me very busy everyday. Some days she naps better than others. Depending on where we are and what we are doing. Of course if we are home she sleeps a little better than when we run around. Life is busy with football, homework and of course my beautiful baby girl. I am planning her birthday/christening party. If anyone knows of some ideas for a birthday dress please let me know.. Not sure how I want to dress her for this. (I know big problems :))

Loving Life

Ok sorry, sorry for not posting but life has been busy and yes I am loving life with Paige. This week we received Paige's social security number, took my mom to The Chris@@@@tmas Tree** shoppe, had a mammogram, set up Paige's Christening date, had open school nite for Coleton, saw psychic Jef***frey Wan^^^ds with my sister and the week is not over yet. Who said that I would be bored staying home? Paige is doing amazingly well. We think she is pretty smart too. She will mimic me... I say "K" in a whisper to her and she is now saying K?- in a whisper. She will take her brush and I will say, "brush your hair" and she takes the brush and tries to brush her hair. Sheer genius!!!!

Paige also turned 10 months old this week. I can not believe she is home with us. It feels like she has always been here, yet every day seems new with her. I love when she wakes in the morning and she hugs me and looks at me like she is so happy that I am there for her. Our hearts are really bursting with love for this little girl.

A princess she is....

I was vey nervous about this. I love pierced ears on little girls. So today I took Paige to get hers done. They did both ears at one time which is the best in my book. Paige screamed for about 2 minutes and then didn't think about it much. My friend Jo and her daughter Mia accompanied us. I was just too chicken to do this alone. But now ohhhhhh just when I thought the cute meter couldnt go any further...

Happy Birthday!!!

Time does go by very fast. Yesterday we celebrated our oldest son's 19th birthday. At his age we were just married. I can't even imagine that for Kyle. He keeps himself very busy with school, working, and as a volunteer EMT. Our present to him this year was a stethoscope. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLE.

Hyper days-

Today we went to the social security office to get Paige a card. It took 21/2 hours of waiting. Uggh. She was so good, and we should have her new card in 10-14 days.
However the rest of the afternoon Paige was on hyper mode.... Here is the picture to prove it. She is sweating, her hair is a mess (bow pulled out) wouldn't sit still enough for me to put her shorts back on... non stop people.

Football season begins.

Coleton is #41
Along with the Giants starting yesterday, so did the Sharks. It was a beautiful sunny, warm afternoon. The kids were ready to play. This year the kids had to try out and be placed on teams according to their skill level. There are three teams in the 9 year old division. Coleton made the A team, and had a lot of kids from the last few years, but also a lot of kids he hadn't played with. They all came together for a great start to their season. They won! Go Sharks. The most important part is he had a really good time and played well. Miss Paige, watche some of the game, but then slept through a lot of the cheering and screaming. She woke up in the final quarter and was clapping along with everyone.

What's happening

Today our social worker came for her first visit. Our original social worker is no longer with this agency, so this is the first time we met her. She was very nice and surprised to see that Paige was so active. She stayed about an hour and a half. We will see her again in 2 months, then at 6 months, and then at a year.

We also got Paige's Certificate of Citizenship in the mail yesterday, so now I can run to the social securit office, and apply for readoption in New York state (just a formality to make sure she won't have any issues later in life). Lots and lots of paperwork.... yes adoption is an incredible journey, and they certainly don't make it easy as you would think.

I also want to warn anyone that wants to use WHFC as their agency to think twice, since we have been majorly screwed by them several times. I won't get into it now.. maybe in another post, but I just want to put it out there that this agency is not about what is good for their clients. It is a shame that there are agencies operating out there that should not be. We used them for our China dossier not for our Taiwan adoption. I will post another time in more detail.

Here are beautiful pictures of Coleton and Paige. She loves both her brothers so much, and her brothers love her so much back. Here you can see it in their eyes.

First Day of School

Today was Coleton's first day of 4th grade. He couldnt wait to get on that bus and go. I haven't been able to get him on the bus for his first day since Kindergarten, so I thought it was pretty special. He had a great day and likes his teacher and the kids in his class. I have to admit for me it was a little weird. I am so used to being a part of the whole back to school thing, that I did feel a little out of my element. Although I got over it pretty quickly. I had a thouroughly enjoyable day hanging out with my princesss. She is truly a joy!! I could get very used to this.
