We are very excited about having our little girl home for the next Christmas. We hung her stocking this year on our mantle as a reminder that she truly exists.

This is one of the pictures that didnt make it to the Christmas card. But you can see Paige's stocking in the background.
We are trying to be a little cautious too with our hearts, like that is possible. We know that anything can happen in adoption but pray that this is our beautiful daughter. OK so only positive thoughts there.
Paperwork: John went into the city alone on Tuesday to get the paperwork done by the state dept. and TECO. I had to work, and since it was the day before tht holiday it is a little more difficult for me to take off, so he went alone. Coleton was off from his school so he stayed home with Kyle that is off from college too.
Jason our nephew in law came over last Saturday to notarize our documents... Thanks Jay!!!
John then mailed it out Fed ex overnight from the city on the 23rd. It was to have gotten to our agency (JOH) on Dec.24 and then mailed right out to Taiwan. Ok so it is 6:00pm here and we are just getting ready to go to my parents that evening for Christmas eve and I check email one last time to see if our agency let us know it was received and sent. We got an email from Joyce at JOH that is asking where the fed ex package is because she didnt recieve it yet and she would be there until 4:30 (they are on west coast time). Quickly we tracked the package, and it said it was in TN. John called Fed Ex and they said due to weather, the flight to Seattle had been cancelled and the package would not be delivered until Friday. Well our agency was closed on Friday. Joyce said she will mail it ou on Monday when she recieves it.
So our paperwork hit a snafew.... I know it will get there but a little frustrating with all the delays.
A few of our friends had their hearings either on Christmas day or right before...so here is to them for hearing or rather in this case not hearing good news.
This is a long post.. I have a lot of pictures to get up here... next post...

Lisa,
I'm so happy you put up a stocking for your sweet baby girl. I know it must be unnerving to think about all the what'if's. I have a very good feeling that only good is in store! You and your family are in my prayers, and I will pray for a snag-free final leg of your adoption journey!
Merry Christmas and I believe you have a VERY Happy New Year ahead of you!
I will send you a picture so you can see......I am not surprised by this at all, but we have the exact same stockings from Pottery Barn!!!
Love the pj pictures, especially the one of you and your girlfriends...we all need our girlfriends!!
