I lost two days of my life this week. Let me explain. On Tuesday, I had a crazy busy day at work setting up our science fair, and teaching etc. I had to come home and take Coleton to baseball practice for 2 hours, and then drive the 45 minutes back to work for our night time Science Fair. I felt a slightly stiff neck during the day. Stiffer by the evening, and I was up all night unable to sleep. In the morning on Wednesday, ahhhh I couldnt move it enough to drive. I called in sick figuring some babying of this neck would do me good. By the afternoon, I couldn't move it at all and had Kyle take Coleton to his lacrosse practice. By 11:00 that evening I was in excruciating pain and had a really bad headache...enough to drive to have hubby drive me to the ER. They gave me all sorts of drugs, and when that didnt help a few hours later the doc wanted to do a CAT scan. Right before that they gave me another drug in shot form for the pain... not sure what it was but made me very itchy... after the CAT this drug seemed to take away the headache and some pain. CAT scan turned out good... thank God.... and so they sent me on my way with some muscle relaxers and other drugs. Yesterday I called in sick again. Still couldn't drive and the medication they gave me in the hospital made me physically sick to my stomach.
Yesterday, I was supposed leave a little early from work, and go read a poem in my son's third grade class, during his poetry party. We didn't want to disapoint him so his big bro - who happened to have no classes yesterday- when in. So sweet and the other kids loved him. Turned out I wasnt missed at all, because Mr. Coleton was quite the celebrity with a big brother. Kyle chose the Pizza p**oem by Jack Prel**usky. SO SWEET.
Last night I was feeling better. And as I write this I am actually getting ready for work. After all I am off all next week for Spri**ng break. Yea!!!!
One more thing, I am in weekly contact with my agency. They still don't know when we will be logged into the court. REDICULOUS, but out of my control. There is nothing I can do, and that is the most frustrating thing. Remember, culturally they are different. I am finding that nothing is urgent for those outside of the US. Our agency won't push, they just inquire..

Hi Lisa. I'm sorry you were in such pain and I'm sorry thing are dragging for you. Fingers crossed things will start moving for you. They just have to. Feel better.
That had to be somewhat frightening, as well as a pain! I'm sure the added stress of waiting for your referral didn't help, either. Those judges better give you a date this next week, to take place the following!!!
Glad you are feeling better!,

Lisa,
I am so sorry you had such a rough week but glad you are feeling better. It is getting quite ridiculous that you haven't heard anything yet on a hearing, and no further explanation. I am sorry for that, too. I hope you have a wonderful relaxing spring break and you get the news you are anxiously awaiting.
You are always in our thoughts,
Melissa
