27 years

This truly was an amazing aniversary. Yes, married 27 years....a long time...but yet it feels like it was just yesterday. Some people say we are crazy for starting over-with an 18 year old and a 9 year old and now a 9 month old. We just smile and laugh about it. Yes it is a big change, but we do find time for each other and we have taken great joy over our children in the past 18 years. Paige completes our family and as we know time passes quickly and they grow up. SO to my wonderful, patient husband on our aniversary- I love you!!!

Now for our day... aniversary- HA- we awoke at 6:15 am to get ready for hours of football in the sweltering heat. We got to the field at 8:30 am and left at 1:15 p.m. Yes FIVE HOURS of football. It was so hot today too. Yet Paige did wonderfully. She didn't know she would be sitting on football, baseball and lacrosse fields for most of her small life. Coleton is playing center this year and he loves it. He is doing very well, and their team played really good despite the heat and humidity with all that equipment on.

Happy Anniversary Girlie!!

We get the same thing about having big kids and starting all over. But we loved having the kids at home and it is very quiet when they leave...no more with Miss Hayden yelling at the top of her lungs:) LOL

I must say I am ready to move on from going to said football and soccer practice....even my step-daughter played sports to something a little more girlie...like dance perhaps!! So many early morning weekends spent on fields, now I just want to put on dance shoes and go to rehearsals!!

We can't wait to come see you!!

Happy Anniversary! I love the idea of older kids and younger kids... it keeps you feeling young! That's our plan too! Right now we have been married for near 13 years and I will turn 36 next week. We have a near 4 year old, will hopefully be traveling to Taiwan for our Po-Chun soon and are updating all of our paperwork for our way off in a distance China adoption! :)

Happy Anniversary!!! We just celebrated our 22nd year of marriage but have dated since 16, guess that would be 29 yrs. We too have older children (almost 17, 14, & 10) and can't tell you how many people have asked us why we would want to start all over again just as the oldest is close to going off to college. Thanks for your post! Although we feel very secure and VERY happy with our decision it is GREAT to hear someone else voice how happy they are AFTER bringing their baby home. We are still waiting.
