This weekend also starts the beginning of the Chinese New Year. This is the year of the Tiger. We will be celebrating with 3 other families. We started this celebration 3 years ago, when Meggie first came home to her parents. This year we are hosting it. Each family makes a chinese dish. I made a Taiwanese desert also last year that was pretty good-- I will probably make that again. We will be celebrating the last weekend of February this year. This will be the first year we have Paige for Chinese New Year... I remember just dreaming of having her celebrate with us.

Lisa,
Love the Chinese NY Celebration. We have been doing it for four years now and it has grown signficantly. This year we are having it at a hall with 120 friends and family members. I can't wait - it will be amazing. Looking forward to hearing your recipes (we are catering - so no recipes here this time.) Happy New Year - and good luck digging out of the snow!
